In an Industry Day held on 20-21 November the U.S. Air Force advised industry that it will solicit proposals to upgrade the Service’s UH-60 Combat Search and Rescue Helicopters (CRH) in the May 2020 timeframe with intent to award a contract by September 2021.

According to the presentation to industry, the upgrades will apply to the 113 aircraft fleet — moving them from “W” to “M” models — and will include the air vehicle, product support, and training systems. The Air Force is still working on its acquisition strategy, but envisions a single (task order) contract award.
